Wiley Jackson Williams

A native of Telfair County Georgia, Williams was born there on November 19. 1836. He enlisted as a private in Company B of the 49th Georgia, rising through the ranks to become lieutenant colonel by March 1864.

After the War, Williams was a merchant in Telfair. He also served in the state legislature. He died in Eastman, Georgia in 1918.
