Edward J. Walker

Walker, a native of the Edgefield District of South Carolina, graduated from the Citadel in 1851. He then became a lawyer in Georgia. He became captain of G Company of the 3d Georgia in April 1861, rising to the rank of colonel by July 1, 1862.

Walker was wounded at Manassas Gap on July 23, 1864. He died of wounds and disease in Richmond County, Georgia on August 21, 1864.
