Samuel St. George Rogers
Rogers was born in Pulaski, Tennessee on June 30, 1832. Prior to the War, he was a lawyer in Ocala, Florida and a member of the Florida state legislature. He joined the 2nd Florida as its lieutenant colonel in the summer of 1861 but was defeated at the reorganization in May 1862. He later served in the Marion Artillery and on Beauregard's Military Court at the rank of colonel. From 1863 to 1865, Rogers was a member of the Confederate Congress.
Rogers died on September 11, 1880 while in Terre Haute, Indiana.
