Reuben Oscar Reynolds

Born in Columbia County Georgia on October 9, 1832, Reynolds was a graduate of the University of Georgia and University of Virginia. He was a lawyer in Aberdeen MS before the War. He was wounded at Gaines Mill and Gettysburg. Promoted to colonel on December 1, 1864, he married to Sarah Young soon after the War.

After the War, Reynolds served in the Mississippi legislature. He also was attorney general and lieutenant governor of his state. Reynolds died in Averdeen on September 4, 1887.
