Laban Odell

From Randolph County, North Carolina, Odell was born on November 8, 1836. He became a lieutenant in M company of the 22d North Carolina in June 1861. He eventually rose to the rank of major by March 1863. Odell was killed leading his regiment at the battle of Chancellorsville. He was buried at Gray's Chapel in Randolph County.
