Joseph Powhatan Minetree
Born in Petersburg on March 20, 1839, Minetree graduated from VMI in 1859. He was wounded at the Wilderness. After the War he served as a purchasing agent for the Southern Railway Company.
Minetree died in Washington DC on January 25, 1907. He was buried in
Rock Creek Cemetery.
This officer was a member of Mahone's Brigade in Anderson's / Mahone's Division.
