James Hickman Johnson

From Montgomery County, Tennessee, Johnson was born on October 8, 1840. He became a lieutenant in G company of the 14th Regiment in May 1861 and rose to the rank of major in August 1864. He was badly wounded and captured at the battle of Cedar Mountain. While recuperating from his wounds, Johnson was captured. He returned and was with his regiment until Appomtattox. In 1867, Johnson married. He died in Clarksville, Tennessee on October 28, 1880.
