Thomas Jamison Glover

Colonel Glover was killed in Gregg's epic fight at Second Manassas. Born in Orangeburg on July 30, 1830, Glover graduated from South Carolina College in 1849 and served in the state legislature. Beginning his career as a lieutenant colonel in January 1861, he rose to the rank of colonel by July 1862.

Glover was shot through the knee, calf, and abdomen at Second Manassas on August 29, 1862. He lingered for only a few days, dying on August 31st.
