William Lee Davidson

Davidson was born in Mecklenburg County on February 10, 1825 and was a merchant in Charlotte prior to the War. He became captain of D company of the 7th North Carolina in May 1861. He was colonel by November 1864. Davidson was wounded at both Chancellorsville and the Wilderness. He was taken prisoner in the Wilderness and was exchanged on August 3. He was paroled at Charoltte on May 15, 1864. Davidson died on August 13, 1899.
