Arthur Sinclair Cunningham

Cunningham was born in April 1835 in Norfolk, Virginia. A graduate of West Point, class of 1857, he served as a lieutenant in the Infantry from 1857 to 1861.

Cunningham served as A.A.G. to George B. Crittenden until he was assigned to the temporary command of the 10th Alabama. He was wounded during the Seven Days and afterwards became an ordanance officer in Richmond. He also commanded the 40th Virginia for a period in 1864.

After the War, Cunningham worked for Well Fargo. He died in Eureka, California on July 26, 1885.
