Arthur Sinclair Cunningham

Cunningham was born in Norfolk, Virginia in April 1835 and graduated from West Point as a member of the class of 1857. He then served as an infantry lieutenant from 1857 to 1861.

Joining the CSA, he served as AAG to G.B. Crittenden. He was also assigned to temporary command as colonel of the 10th Alabama. He was wounded in this capacity during the Seven Days. He then became an ordanace officer in Richmond. He commanded the 40th Virginia for a period in 1864, but then reported back to the ordance department.

After the War, Cunningham worked for Wells Fargo. He died in Eureka, California on July 26, 1885.
