Nathan Brandon

Born in Stewart County on January 20, 1820, Brandon became captain of E company of the 14th Tennessee. He was lieutenant colonel of the regiment by November 1861, but was dropped from the regiment during the April 1862 reorganization. Returning home on furlough, he was wounded seven times at Fort Donelson, where he was paroled after the surrender. After the War, Brandon served in the Tennessee legislature. He died in Dover on April 20, 1891.
