Taul Bradford
Born in Talladega, Alabama on January 20, 1835, Bradford graduated from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa in 1854. He studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1855. He had a law practice in Talladega when the War began.
Bradford joined the 10th Alabama as its major in July 1861. However, he resigned in August. He later became the lieutenant colonel of the 30th Regiment. This Regiment served in the Western Theater of operations. Bradford later resigned from this unit in November 1862.
After the War, Bradford served in the Alabama State legislature in 1871 and 1872. He was elected to Congress as a Democrat and served from 1875 to 1877. After his term expired, he returned to his legal practice.
Bradford died on October 28, 1883. He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Talladega.
