Albert A. Hill

Born in Iredell County, North Carolina sometime around 1827, Lieutenant Colonel Albert A. Hill rose from the rank of captain of B company to a field officer position in the 48th North Carolina. Hill, a tall man at 6-3, was a doctor in Davidson County prior to the War. Wounded at Fredericksburg, he nevertheless served until Appomattox.
